The planet Vekun is at war and one of its ships is so badly damaged in a battle, that it seek refuge on the neutral but forbidden planet Zoeen. The ship?s crew are then placed in a military base on a remote island to wait until they can be transported back to their home planet. A young woman Zoeen woman called Shirley falls in love with the Vekun ship?s Captain Ashe. Much to the displeasure of her mother, sister and the base Commander.
